FFC News: Active Bike Challenge - 4 Days To Kick Off

It's just 5 days until 8 football fans embark on the Active Bike Challenge, a 1,000 mile ride from the Nou Camp to Anfield in aid of the Marina Dalglish Appeal, which was set up to raise money for cancer after Kenny’s wife, Marina, was diagnosed with the illness in 2003.

Norwich City fan, Mark Whitwood, came up with the idea, after vowing to do a fundraising after his fiancé's father died of the disease 3 years ago, and it's heartwarming to see the football community coming together in support, making donations that the cyclists will bring back to auction at Anfield... a signed shirt from the Nou Camp, a signed Pompey shirt that will be presented by Peter Crouch who will be meeting them off the ferry in Portsmouth, signed goalkeeper's gloves from Edwin van der Sar...plus stops en route at Villa Park, The Brittannia, The City of Manchester Stadium, Old Trafford and Goodison to pick up donations.
The fans cycling the Active Bike Challenge are looking to raise £25,000 for this worthy cause.
