News: Ipswich Town to name stand after Sir Bobby Robson


Ipswich Town are to rename the North Stand of their Portman Road stadium after Sir Bobby Robson, it has been confirmed.

Sir Bobby, who died at the end of July, managed the East Anglia side for 13 years, prompting calls for the club to establish a permanent memorial to him.

News: Ipswich stand could be named after Sir Bobby

Ipswich Town chief executive Simon Clegg has revealed the club is considering naming one of the stands at Portman Road after Sir Bobby Robson.

The former England manager died on July 31st after a long battle with cancer and is still fondly remembered in Ipswich for his time at the Suffolk club...
